I just don't get it!  Every day I go the same speed for the same amount of time on my treadmill.  Yesterday,  for example,  my Fitbit showed 300+ steps less. How can that be?

Now today (& this happens about once a month), my Fitbit doesn't record all my time.  Same thing,  same speed,  same amount of time. Treadmill shows 35 minutes,  Fitbit 29. Today instead of reading 18 which is what the treadmill said,  my Fitbit read 12. Why???

Are you holding treadmill rail at all?  If so, those steps usually will not be detected.  That could be affecting other data.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Welcome to the Forums @Monette1021. Hello @JohnnyRow.

I'd like to ask you some questions to better understand what is going on:

  • Are you referring to the active minutes? Or the duration of the activity?
  • When did this start happening or did it start before?

Knowing that should help in finding the best way to move ahead.

Look forward to your reply.

My steps and minutes from yesterday are still adding up into today.  My steps or any of the other data reset at midnight.
