I do not see a way to add steps in newest version of app...3.3

I appreciate the details that were shared in your post and to keep your Fitbit app up to date. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities? and for more information. If you have the new Fitbit app dashboard design, please follow the next steps:

  1. Tap the Today tab, and tap the User-added image icon next to the stat you want to log.
  2. Add your information, and tap Save.
