I'd like to sign my kid up to be on Fitbit, however, when creating a family account, your kid is only allowed to add 2 types of Fitbit divides. how can I add a regular Fitbit to my kids account. I am giving my kid my old Fitbit and would like to pair it.!!! Very annoying.

Accepted Solutions

Hi @Locknessy   how old is your kid?

due to laws across the world, children are prohibited from having an online account and using these devices. The Ace series was made especially to allow children six and up to use these services. Fitbit is abiding by those laws. Lying about the age is the only solution, but would create a problem since the algorithms are made based on gender, age, height and weight. So that would give completely wrong data for your child. Lying about the age is the only workaround if you're not using the Ace.

I wanted to do the same with my old charge 3 when I upgraded to the Sense 😞 my kid is 8 and was super excited to try it out even though the data wouldn't really w accurate. I wish the kids account could either use other devices or I could have a second device on my account. I'm also a nerd, and would love to compare the performance of my Charge 3 to the Sense!
