Welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community @Gadge, My apologies for the late response and I'm wondering in which way the adventure races are not working with your Huawei P20? Are your steps not matching with your overall step count?
Note that the Huawei P20 Pro is not listed as a compatible device, however this doesn't mean it won't work. But will depend on how is not working this feature with your phone. In the meantime for more help please review the following help article: What should I know about adventures?
Also keep in mind to maintain updated your Fitbit app app and to sync regularly your tracker with your phone, so the steps keep syncing with your adventure race.
