I'm having the same issue mine just randomly stops syncing and despite restarting Bluetooth and the phone I find I need to uninstall and reinstall the app for it to start working!

Hello everyone and welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! I was reading you are experiencing syncing issues after the new app update for Android.
If the issue continue please refer to this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
If even after trying this as some of you have already done on your own, reset the cache of the Fitbit app: Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app (This may vary depending of the Android device and the OS version).
Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.
Make sure your phone is listed as compatible, If a device isn’t listed it doesn’t mean it won’t work with a Fitbit tracker or smartwatch. A majority of Android phones running version 4.4 or higher will work with our products, however we cannot guarantee optimal performance on devices for which we have not tested and confirmed compatibility.
See you around and hope this get you back on track.

Hi there Android users. Thank you for sharing with us that uninstalling and reinstalling the app may help to improve the syncing process @Jb1976 and @MsPatH.
So far, I haven't seen more updates about the compatibility of the LG V20. However, I'm always reading your comments and I'll be posting more details if something new comes up.
Thank you for your participation.
