OK, I'll be deleting the app. It does indeed help with battery drain. Disappointing they would make this change to increase their data access at the expense of battery life.

Me too. No always connect or all day sync option on iOS anymore.
Hello!
Having the following problem: Spotify/Weather/etc say that synching is required.
However why? Should the app on my iPhone 11 work in the background? Can I close the app because I've a habit of doing that?
Best AnswerThanks for passing along the information. Another poor choice by FitBit in my opinion. I see some people like having it on all the time, so wouldn't take the choice away from them just because it doesn't work for me. Fitbit must know better. Maybe they want me to buy a new model. Fat chance. Since Covid hit, I've had to work from home a lot, which means I've got my bluetooth speakers going. The bluetooth speaker means my FitBit is trying to sync all the time, so runs the battery down in 1-2 days rather than a week. Add that to the overall poor construction of the product, and there isn't much point in having a fitbit.
The question was about the option to "DISABLE" the All Day Sync. Another post in the community confirmed that FitBit did remove the ability to disable.
Yes, I’m having a issue trying to find the all day sync as well.. and if I don’t sync it with my iPhone XS my weather doesn’t seem to work on my Fitbit Versa.
Best AnswerYes the ability to disable all day sync has been removed from both apple and ios.
However this will not stop weather from working.
Best AnswerI have worn my fitbit on my ankle (counting steps, not hand movement daaa 😋) so now that I bought a newer model I wanted to compare steps taken, one on the wrist and one on my ankle. Easy right? Wrong!!! As soon as it syncs the new model to the phone, it automatically syncs to the old model as well hence overriding steps taken on my old model. Yes, auto sync turned off would help here but fitbit has to make it difficult. I thank fitbit after 4th device making it easy to move on. I know I'm asking for too much when I would like for myself to decide what and what not to have on. Thankfully I have that choice and fitbit is definitely OFF!!! Thank you and good bye! 😘
I have a versa 2 ...app version says Fitbit 3.28(986)
I am on an iPhone
I have lost the sync all day button
and I don’t have the find my phone app
what version do I need for that please
And what do you mean when you say the updates are rolled out progressively
Best AnswerThis application goes from bad to worse.
App uninstalled, fitbit charge 2 goes in the bin.
Moved away from fitbit. Device is great, the app is garbage.
Hope google will buy them and get rid of this app.
Sorry for the rant
Super disappointed in this move. I as well have had the All-Day sync option disabled. I connect through a VPN and Fitbit sometimes blocks the internet traffic from my VPN. That causes it to repeated attempt to sync and drains my phone and Fitbit battery life. Having to charge my my Fitbit device every one to two days and having my phone get drained to 45% within 4 hours is not an option. I’ve been a Fitbit user for several years and multiple devices, but now it looks like between the Google acquisition, Battery drain, and the App getting worse rather than better my next device will have to be from some other company. I am looking to replace my device sometime in the next six months (assuming I can find the money). I might have to dip sooner if it just drains my phone battery every day.
Best AnswerFor me this is more than frustrating since my Fitbit is syncing every few minutes with my Bluetooth turned OFF! That's absurd.
Best AnswerSorry but my Bluetooth has been off for the 6 hours but my steps continue to sync and show up in my events every few minutes all while my BLUETOOTH IS OFF!! This is crazy and I'm actually feeling alittle violated since there is seemingly another way they are accessing my phone!!
Best Answerfitbits often stop synching without rhyme or reason. I have found the connection to be very inconsistent.
I have had three fitbits.....one very early version, one HR and now I have a Versa 2. All have had issues with synching. Then, I took the advice of one of your customer service people to synch it to my android phone - instead of my PC. I did that and it got a little better. But, it fails a lot still - as had most of my fitbits.
So, I remembered there was an all sync setting that I went looking for this morning. Now I read that you guys eliminated the all sync setting and that the phones would automatically just sync if they were close. WRONG
Most of your documenation is directed towards a new device. My fitbits fail to synch after I have worn them a month or so.......and nothing in settings , bluetooth, etc has changed.......STRANGE
Best AnswerMine too - couldn't understand why I was using so much phone data each month and having to fork out extra money for more. Bloody nuisance - am seriously fed up. Now have to turn blue tooth off when I leave the house and can't access wifi. Sorry to vent - have just spent about half an hour thinking I was stupid for failing to find the 'all day sync off'!
