In the spring of 2018 I bought Alta HR, installed the application and immediately connected without problems. Everything was fine, until Alta HR and Android began to be alternately updated. For the last three months, Alta HR has completely ceased to connect, although Android has already been updated to 8.0 and further, the Alta HR application was also updated.
I tried:
- overload Alta HR
- remove and install the application on the phone
- give to the phone the Fitbit application all possible permissions
- erase the application cache and all data on the phone
- connect in different ways Bluetooth
Warning - BlackBerry Key One and Blackberry Motion is not in the lists of suitable devices, but the solution works:
1. Fully charge Alta HR
2. Connect the charging cable to the Alta HR, insert the USB into the computer connector
3. Reset Alta HR 1 or 3 times before the appearance of the logo (for some reason, I only had the logo once, and when I dropped the other times, the version number of the Alta HR product was)
4. Download the Fitbit desktop application. Although I have Windows 10, I think Apple will work too.
5. Install
6. Run and log in Fitbit account
7. Try Connect Device
8. Maybe write to "turn on Bluetooth on the desktop", turn on. Then write the "Bluetooth that is found and reboot the computer". Ignore. In the Bluetooth settings, we search for Alta and connect it. (The same way to connect Alta as a Bluetooth device from the settings of the phone does not work)
9. "Unknoun Device" will appear along with "Alta HR". Ignore.
10. Try again Connect Device. It comes to the introduction of a password of 4 digits. Enter the password that shines on Alta HR, in the application on the Desktop.
11. An inscription of the type Whiting Connect appears. We are waiting from 5 to 20 minutes (!). Most likely at this moment the Alta HR starts to be updated.
12. Done! It should appear in the desktop version the number of steps for today, which the bracelet did not see. I had a phone at the time of the connection. He himself saw the updated Alta HR, he connected himself, a bunch of push messages arrived. Nearby was the second Blackberry phone, which also tried to connect, and he immediately also found a bracelet without intervention. Attention - on all devices the entrance was made under the same account.
Good luck!
