I got an Alta hr a week ago.
It doesn't sync even though it's on all day sync.
I have to shut off Bluetooth and restart my phone for it to work. Huge hassle each time.
I also do not consistently get notified of calls and the text feature does not work at all.
I contacted support and they asked me my phone model and they said that it's not completely supported for the Fitbit app.
I can't return this (bought at Best buy) and support said there is nothing they can do. I bought this for sleep data and calls and texts and none of those things are working as expected.
Any tips?

Hello @Jak464, welcome to our Fitbit Community! As you were informed by our customer support team, it is hard to guarantee the functionality of the app or the tracker with not compatible mobile devices, since the app and its features are not optimized to run under the specification of the phone in question.
In your case you have tried almost all the possible troubleshooting steps, so as a matter of review to see if there is missing I'm going to share with you this thread: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).
I have seen in two occasions, users removed the tracker from the Bluetooth list of paired devices under the phone Bluetooth settings as a workaround (Not the Fitbit app), however this recommendations has been made for different brands of mobile phones and is no guarantee it will work.
As an official response, despite is not the best solution you can sync also using a computer in the meantime. Rest assure our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates!
See you later and hope this helps.
