My Alta HR (only a few months old) has stopped syncing with.my Galaxy S8. I charged it in full Saturday evening, and it has not synced since 7 PM on Sunday. I have already tried: *uninstall/reinstall Fitbit App,  as well as an update

*phone restart

*turning off and on Bluetooth

*reset Fitbit from the button on the charger cord

Still no luck.

How you doing @SFBern? Thanks for joining this family, hope you like what find here! And thank you for following the troubleshooting proposed before, I'm sorry to hear that you still having syncing issues.

To continue, can you please confirm that you have a Galaxy S8 too? In the meantime you can try this :

  1. Restart your phone.
  2. Restart you Alta HR. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. If your Fitbit device won't sync after the restart, log in to your Fitbit account on a different phone, tablet, or computer and try to sync.

Please me know if you have any additional questions and we'll be happy to assist you.

Suddenly after 1 year of no problems, my Fitbit alta hr Tracker does not show up on Bluetooth list on Galaxy S7 or IBM Surface Pro 3. So of course I can't sync.

It is fully charged and says “Fitbit.com/setup”.

SOLUTION

From dashboard, tap account.
Then, tap Setup a device.
Choose your Alta HR and replace.

All is well once again in Fitbit land.
