Hi @Wantttobehealth. Welcome to the Forums.

I'm sorry that your Alta HR isn't completing the set up process and thanks for your efforts. Your Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge seems to not be part of our compatible devices list and that might be the reason why it's not completing this process. While we cannot guarantee that it'll pair or always work with all the features, let's try working on this together. Before anything else, may I know if you're getting an error message on the app?  Have you made sure to turn on the location services as well to allow the Fitbit app to run on the background?

If you've not done so, please give a try to the following steps:

  1. Remove the Alta HR from the Bluetooth settings on your phone.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections that are nearby.
  3. On your phone's settings, tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
  4. Go back one screen and tap on force stop.
  5. Reboot your phone and restart your Alta HR.
  6. Try the set up process one more time and wait until it's completed.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

The app seems fine....it tries to "find" my alta but cant. The alta sits at the Fitbit.com setup screen.

I will try the suggestions and let you know.

I hope it works...if not I guess healthy is not in my future
