Alta HR won't sync with my Galaxy J2

I've had issues with my Fitbit Alta HR not syncing with my Galaxy J2.  Because I'd this issue my weekly summaries show next to no data.  Is my phone compatible? I really don't want to get a new phone soley because of this issue, so I really need some answers.

Let me help you with your Alta HR not syncing with your phone. Your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try the following:

 

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on. 
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Once my app finally updated I got my watch to sync. I'll see if I have anymore problems.

I have the Fitbit altar hr and since October have not been able to sync yo my Samsung a8 😪 I have tried everything not sure what is going on it worked awesome beforehand I loved it now its useless 😪 did you get yours working? If so how ?

Mine has been about that long, but O finally did get it to sync. Once I updated my app it synced automatically. Don't really know what's going on with yours though. Sorry
