Alta not recognized by phone

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Brand new Alta will not sync despite numerous tries.  Reset the device several times.  Reset the phone.  Reinstalled software and did everything over again.  Android phone bluetooth does not recognize the device.  Could the phone be incompatible?  It is a brand new Samsung Galaxy J7.  Only the Galaxy "J"? is listed.....

Mine is doing the same thing. Brand new Alta and my LG G4 doesn't recognize the device.  I've tried the same troubleshooting steps as you but still nothing. Someone help us?

Hello @SunsetRunner and welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community!

I was reading you are experiencing syncing issues with your Alta HR  and your mobile phones. I saw your mobile phones are not listed as compatible. In those cases we cannot guarantee the device is going to support the features of the app or the functionality of the tracker.

It would not hurt to give it a try to the following suggestions: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).

If this is not working it would be recommendable to try with a device listed as supported or using a computer. Our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates!

Hope this helps and see you around!
