Dare I ask if there are any compatibility issues between 10 and the Fitbit app?

Hi @VeganDan, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums!

Let me share with you that at this moment there's no compatibility concern between Android 10 and the Fitbit app on Pixel devices. My best advise will be to check our compatibility list to make sure that your mobile device is compatible with our products and services. To do so, please check: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

I updated my Pixel 3xl today and text notifications stopped working.

They worked before the update, I have rebooted several times, and phone call notifications are still working.

Updated to android 10 and the battery drain on my versa has massively increased (40 to 50 %) a day. Are you aware of any issues in this space?

Same here, upgraded to Android 10, restarted, and no notifications going to my Charge 2.

I updated my Pixel 2 to Android 10 on Wednesday. On my Flex 2, text messages notifications have not been working, but call notifications still work. I have tried rebooting, turning BT on and off, removing/re-adding the device, force stoppping and clearing the app cache. No fix so far.

I can still access Fitbit on my Kindle, and by going directly to website on phone browser.  When I try to open Fitbit app on Pixel phone, get message website isn't available.  Android 10 updated this evening.  So, how do I fix?

As soon as I updated my Pixel 3xl, my Charge 3 could no longer be found by my app and will not update.

Anyone who had android 9 I would have thought knows what to expect from fitbit.

Same issue - upgraded to Android 10 on Pixel 3a, text notifications no longer work at all. Calls may show the correct number and may show some random previous number. I've tried restarting / resetting / removing-re-adding / enabling-disabling-notifications. Nothing helps. Alta, if it helps.

I was able to get the Fitbit app to correctly interface with my phone BUT
has to uninstall the app, restart, then reinstall. It seems as if some
apps are taking a bit longer for all the pieces to mesh with the new
Android 10 update. Some functions look better and some aren't quite there
yet. My phone is peppier, but battery life has declined too.

Hi, I'm also having the issue with my Charge 2. Since the last firmware update, it slowly stopped receiving notifications. Now it's completely dead, as in none are coming in at all. This not only includes texts, calls and calendar updates but now even the ones from Fitbit itself. No more notifications to remind to be get ready for bed, my step totals, or even that ever annoying yet useful reminder to move. I've tried everything across the Charge 2 forums and nothing. The remedies have just made the issue worse. Not sure what to do anymore. Very frustrating.

For the techs out there: using Pixel 3 XL with Android 10 and Fitbit app version 3.5. with Charge 2 firmware 22.22.58.0

Since updating to 10 app Dashboard keeps reloading each time I open the app, constantly flashing.

Thanks, I did the same and it fixed my issues.

I did an uninstall, reboot, and reinstall today, and now I'm in the same boat as the poor chap above who doesn't get any notifications.

I've updated my phone to the official Android 10 (after running the Android "Q" beta since it became available) and now keep getting a Fitbit Sync notification with Sync, Challenges and Account options. My phone is no longer syncing with my Ionic and every time I try to do this I get a splash screen with the message "Linking with Fitbit App required for connectivity features". This screen has a wait timer which never goes away and if I click ok it returns me to the app with a Device not Found message. I've not changed anything else in my setup other than the Android 10 install and a reinstall of the Fitbit app when I first came across this problem.

Hi @RicardoFitbit
I'm experiencing very similar issues to @aldo79 .

I updated to Android 10 last night...I show no update to Fitbit in Google Play Store. I try to sync my Versa, and it will not sync. I go to Wifi settings, and it just spins on that screen.  I try to re-sync, it won't work. I have tried all of the following, and nothing has worked:
1. logging out / back in to Fitbit app.

2. shutting down bluetooth, Fitbit app, re-starting both.

3. re-doing setup of Versa everywhere.

In addition to not syncing, of course I'm also prevented from getting any notifications on my Versa from my phone (Google Pixel 3).

I have a Pixel 3a and recently updated to Android 10, and I am no longer able to sync my Fitbit Ionic. I tried removing and re-adding to my account, but it gets stuck in a loop where it continues to ask for the pairing code. Please help me get my devices syncing again!

Do we need to create a new thread on this topic that isn't marked "Solved"? We don't seem to be getting any response from FitBit support.

As an update on my sync problems I tried another restart on my ionic yesterday afternoon (not sure if there was an app update in the meantime) and sync seems to work again. Will try out notifications again also.
