Hi folks,
a few days before I got my new phone, installed the app and everything worked flawless...
But today my Versa stopped syncing after the update for the Android app came in this morning.
Once - just once - I got the message "Tracker not found", and later I got the message "Problems with Bluetooth [...]".
All I get is the pink exclamation mark at the synchronize section.
Things I tried until now:
- tapped the "restart bluetooth"-button
- restart the phone
- restart the Versa
- logoff from app and login again
After several retries the exclamation mark disappeared, and it shows the rotation arrows. Then it starts a try to sync, again and again and again.
Somewhen it worked once to sync.
On the apps main-screen I can see in the upper right corner the picture of the Versa, the battery symbol and this - what really is it? - "wireless reception"-like sign that should be blue or green but now stays grey.
Whatever you did with "fixed some bugs and made some stability improvements" - take it back!
I almost struggled for two years with a not-compartible phone. Now I spent nearly 300 bucks for a phone from your list for ... what? The same sucking problems as before.
The app is now on 2.85
The Versa is on 32.33.1.30
The phone is a Samsung A6 (2018) with Android 8.0 and Bluetooth 5.0. (Listed on fitbit.com/devices !!!)

After doing the whole process of setup and restart and reregister and and and for several times it all works again.

2 hours of waiting, restarting and resyncing it seems to work stable - for the moment.
Hey FitBit, what is going on?
Seems the app isn't that fixed what you tell us again and again...

Getting "Tracker not found" again.
Getting "Restart Bluetooth"-message again.
Hooray @Fitbit... when everything was working well on a full compartible phone you just decided to crash it with this horrible update.
Get the app working NOW!

...just did all the monkeys-steps...
...delete Versa from app
...delete Versa from Bluetooth
...restarted the phone
...added Versa again to app
...added Versa with app (message that pops up in app)
for what? "Problems with Bluetooth" *AGAIN* and still no working sync.

I have noticed in this App upgrade, the option under the Ionic for "Widgets" is missing.
Why is it needed, if at all..?

I also registered that. I don't know for what reason it was removed. Maybe they think it's not needed anymore. I belive we will never know, because FitBit isn't answering questions at all. Nearly every question I asked inhere was smashed for mods with canned text-patterns that are not helping.
As long as your Ionic works for you you should be thankful. 😉

@chrdMy non problem is I have no issues with my Ionic. I asked the question because the Widget was the only one I had set to ON, based on earlier posts in the Forum..... Always connected and All Day Sync are off.
I choose how I sync because I'm setup with multi trackers..

@Colinm39, alright then I misunderstood.
I also have had setup multi-trackers until this morning and in earlier days it worked also with a phone that wasn't listed as working. In that scenario I didn't need the widget to get it working, I just checked the other 2 options (24h-sync & always connected) and was flawless.
Then switched to a phone listed as full-compartible, everything was a charme until I got the 2.85-update.
Maybe the mods will get awake somewhen and care about frustrated users.
