Android App widget doesn't update

Android device: Nexus 5X (Android 7.1.2, Jul 5th patch)

Fitbit device: Charge 2 (Firmware version: 22.22.53.4)

App: Version 2.53 (2193140)

Primary Goal: Calories

Issue: Widget doesn't reflect most recent data

I searched community topics but found nothing relevant.  I checked the web settings for my device.  The last sync time shows as being within minutes of current time, but widget on my phone home screen shows the data from when I opened the app after waking this morning at 05:15.  When I open the app again, the widget updates to reflect the latest data after the sync.

UPDATE: I changed the primary goal to steps, sync'd the device, and the widget updates as expected.

Hello @424a57, good to see you again in the Fitbit Community! I see you were able to change the primary goal to make the widget works.

I haven't tested this yet, (plan on doing it soon) but I'm wondering if you turn on "Background Sync" under the device settings in the app, will that update the widget data.

See you soon and let me know how it goes.

I don't see Background Sync. I see All Day Sync and Always Connected, both of which are enabled. Am I missing something?
