Fitbit Update 04/24/2017: Hi everyone -- Our Android team appreciates everyone's feedback in this thread and are working to fully implement the new Android Dashboard in the upcoming 2.48 release.
I am closing this thread as all feedback has been captured and reviewed by our team. Thanks again for all of your constructive feedback as we continue to improve Fitbit products and services.
Fitbit Update 10/04/2016: Hello Android Community! Some of you may have took notice that your Fitbit app has updated and you now have the option to view the new Android Dashboard (see screenshot below).
The new Dashboard design for Android is currently only available to our external closed beta group. We currently have the beta group closed, but some of you old school Fitbit beta users, were able to get in before we closed the group to the public.
For those of you in the beta, feel free to share your feedback so I can pass it along. I will have a more concrete timeline of official release to share with everyone when I get a confirmed date. We're taking our time to make sure the features are all working up-to-par. Thank you in advance for the feedback!

Atill needs some work. New version of Android 2.43 is no better than before.
1. When swiping between days some of the data does not refresh automatically!
2. Cannot swipe between days like the old dashboard. Have to use the stupid aleft and right arrows.
3. Cannot choose which features can be in the top 4 small icons.

As we were invited to leave feedback it would be nice to see some responses.
I have heard people say it's good that the app reflects the dash but many people don't use the dash. On that note though, why is the weight tile in reverse to the dash?! The one in app is useless now.
As per my feature requests I STILL find I miss the things I reported because they were the very reason why I had my Fitbit.

The dashboard upgrade completely removed the heart rate tracker, the sleep cycle tracker & the auto-recognition of exercising and other tracking. Returning to the old dashboard has not resolved the issues. Those features were the reasons I purchased the Charge HR. I use a Samsung Galaxy 6. Any suggestions to restore the features would be appreciated.

If you search the feature requests and there isn't one to add your vote to you can start a request yourself and ask people to add to it.. I've done one for the features I miss.
Perhaps @ErickFitbit and co will return one day to speak to us in the thread they asked us to contribute to....

I have never been able to get the new design. How can I get it?

When you open your app there should be a banner across the tops saying 'Try preview of the new dashboard'. It is bright pink and hard to miss! If it isnt there go to account, settings, advanced settings and if you are already on the new dashboard, at the top it will say switch back to old dashboard.
If you cant find either of these things, Id reackon your app probably needs updating.

I hate it. I wouldn't mind so much if I could edit the way it displays what where. Am I missing something? Been playing with it for days and I'm getting agitated

Helen.. I feel your pain. Have you learned anything that would help with this dilemma?

You can move, remove or add tiles within the top section and within the bottom section, but you cant move tiles between the top and bottom. To go into edit mode touch and hold a tile and they shrink a bit and get a minus sign in the corner. You can then move them around etc. Tap done at the bottom when you ard finished.

My Android tablet can't sync with my Charge since yesterday, although it has been working perfectly until then. (New Dashboard). Also can 'Log Previous' time and calories, but not steps.

The latest update to Android app completely broke the dashboard. The bottom half of the screen is completely empty and 60% of the tiles only display if the tablet is in landscape mode, but then you have to scroll to see them. Its as if Fitbit never tested their changes at all in yesterdays update. The new dashboard display worked fine before the update, so its not a difference between old and new dashboards. This is one of their worst updates ever.

I absolutely refuse to update my mobile app that enables the new layout by default, and now I bitterly regret that I've ever bought Blaze. Had I known that the company would take this step, I'd certainly look at other trackers first. Probability of me recommending Fitbit to anyone else now? ZERO!

Hi, you can still switch back to the old dashboard in Advanced Settings, the only change is with version 2.44 that it defaults to the new dashboard from fresh install.

I switched back to the old dashboard as well. Doesn't like this one one bit. Sorry.

It needs to be more flexible with customization. I like to put what I watch on top & I can't. I'm not so much about the activity issues but maybe twice a day. It is very redundant and I watch my food intake more frequently. You should be able to put whatever you want where you want it.... that is the best feature of the old dashboard. Entering food to the diary has too many taps to get to the search and add page. I have gone back to the old dashboard for as long as I can, You haven't been able to match the flexibility and ease of use.
