I had a Fitbit one, but recently got a fitbit charge 2. I am trying to add the device on my android fitbit app (Samsung Galaxy S3) and the app keeps telling me "please update your application to continue". My app is updated. I've tried uninstalling the fitbit app, turning my phone off, back on again and then reinstalling the app and it still gives me the same message. Any suggestions?

@SunsetRunner, check the version of your app (in the App open the Account screen and select Help to display the version number). It should be version 2.44 or 2.44.1. After installing/updating the app, be sure to restart your phone to make sure it gets a clean load of all of the drivers.

@USAF-Larry my app version is 2.15.1
How do I get the version I need? It says my app is updated.

@SunsetRunner, have you looked in the Google Play Store on your phone to see if the most current version is available there for download/install? Remember, if you upgrade the Fitbit app, restart your phone after the upgrade is completed.

@SunsetRunner Your app version is pretty ancient, check that Google Play Services is updated and try rebooting your phone.
Also in Google Play Store try uninstalling Fibit app, rebooting then reinstalling from scratch. This might be the only option if the Samsung isn't seeing an update available.
I have an S3 at home and it works fine with version 2.44.1

@Dragonfruit I just installed Google Play Services on my phone. Now, how do I add an app to Google Play services, or what do I need to do next?

@SunsetRunner, on the upper left hand corner, tap on the Menu (3 bars), then select My Apps & Games. When that screen opens, select the Search Magnifying Glass icon and enter Fitbit to search for. It will find the Fitbit app for you.

Still can't get it to update, so I just installed the app on my tablet. Thanks for the help.
