Android app not showing Friends' Profile "Averages steps per Day"

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When I am logged into the Fitbit app on my laptop (Win 10 App) and I visit a friend's profile, it shows me that friend's average steps per day.  This works for ALL (5) of my Fitbit friends.  Nevertheless, when I access my friends' profiles via the Android app, it shows that same data for some friends but not others.  It consistently works for 3 particular friends and consistently does not show the data for the other 2.

How do I get it to show me the same data (that I clearly have access to) for all of my friends?

Hello @dvalliere, good to see you have joined the Fitbit Community! Certainly this is an odd behavior if your friends hasn't changed their privacy settings and you are able to see the information through your Windows 10 app.

I would like to see if is possible for you to share a screenshot of how you are seeing this information of your friends via the Android app. This will allow me to have a closer look of the issue you are experiencing.

In the meantime I would like to recommend to try the following suggestions in case the Fitbit app is failing, since I haven't seen other issues similar to your scenario:

Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

See you later and hope this helps.

I did the log out, cache & data clear, force stop, phone reboot, login steps.  No change.

Hi there @dvalliere, thank you for sharing the screenshots of the issue you are experiencing. I'm wondering if you are running the latest version of the Fitbit app for Android and if you are using a compatible mobile device? To the date of this post the latest for Android is 2.61.

For more details take a look to this post: Android app version 2.61 is now available - 10/30

See you later and keep me posted.
