Hello @RikV8
When you set up the Fitbit app on your Pixel 8, did you add your phone as a connected device? If not, this is how to do that:
If you've set up your phone as a connected device, I think you need to sync your phone with the app to show any step or activity tracking
Please let us know if this helped.

Best AnswerThis is all very strange as yesterday's step count is now showing in yesterday's tab as it should but again todays steps only showing 0 even though I have had a small walk.
Best AnswerAfter a long walk today please see attached screenshot. Top widget is Fitbit displaying 0 steps and bottom one is Google Fit displaying recorded steps, so must be an app/setting issue 😔
Hello @RikV8
Thank you for your update. I'm going to ask around about your issue and will report back if I learn of anything that might be helpful.

Best AnswerHi @RiekoC
Little bit more info. This morning I have logged on and the main tab (see pic 1 below) it's now showing yesterday's steps but on today's tab also when I scroll to yesterday's tab it's showing the previous days steps 🤔. Strangely when I scroll down (see pic 2 below) and when I select to open the step data (see pic 3 below) the data is correctly showing it as yesterday.

Thank you for additional information.
I looked at the Fitbit help page on using a phone to track steps & activity . There wasn't any information that seemed helpful to your issue.
Now, I'm wondering if what you're experiencing is due to a known issue on the Fitbit side affecting step tracking and activity history. Which version of the Fitbit app do you have on your phone? You can check by tapping on your picture in the upper right of the Today page and tapping on Help. The version information should be on the Help page.

Best AnswerEnsure that the Fitbit app has all the necessary permissions to access the phone's sensors. Go to Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Permissions and make sure it has access to activity, location, and any other relevant permissions.
Hi @nolanmaris
Thanks for the response.
I have allowed all permissions but unfortunately still no joy.
Best AnswerHello @RikV8
I suspect your issue is related to the one affecting historical data. Although I know that the team is aware of the issue & is working on the fix, you can submit an issue report using the Feedback option in the Fitbit app.
Even though you likely won't get a response, the team receives & reviews all reports submitted this way.
