Android connectivity is horribly broken on Versa. It is like this on Android O and P on Pixel 2. It just rarely works - I have tried toggling Bluetooth, toggling Airplane mode, restarting, all of the usual tricks to make Bluetooth work on Android. I spend so much time desperately trying to get it to sync, retrying, killing the app, restarting, etc. It's just not usable. The product should not have launched in this state.
Standalone Wi-Fi connectivity is not a solution - I am rarely at home sitting around using my Fitbit on my home Wi-Fi. Captive portals, Hotel Wi-Fi, etc does not work with Versa.
I am on the verge of a remorse return on my Versa because connectivity is just so unusable.
Wallet - "cannot connect to versa"
Apps/Watch Faces - same thing
Updates - same thing

HI there @LongTimeUser1, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! My apologies for the late response and thank you for your feedback and for letting me know the steps you have tried on your own to address these issues.
At this time the Pixel 2 is not listed as compatible, so many functionalities may present unexpected behaviors since the app is not optimized to work with the device in question. So far this mobile phone is being tested to make sure all features will be supported. Nonetheless these steps might give you some extra help: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
Regarding Wi-Fi, keep in mind your Versa will only connect with previous configured networks in your Fitbit app. If this is a public network or hot-spot, make sure is configured in your Wi-Fi connections. For more details please refer to this help article: Why won't my Fitbit watch connect to Wi-Fi?
If there is no Wi-Fi you may find issues to download clock faces or installing firmware updates on your Versa. In order to improve the connectivity is better if your tracker is connected to the charging cradle and your tracker has enough battery.
For issues with Wallet, make sure the bank is included in our supported banks and your cards are previously registered on your NFC Versa. For more details please refer to this information: What should I know about Fitbit Pay?
Rest assure we are working hard to add more compatible devices for the convenience of our users. To see our public information about compatibility go to this link: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?
See you later and hope this helps.

Do you have an estimate on when the Versa will be compatible with the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL? this is a very common device and while I do think the Versa shows some promise, if my whole household is unable to use it, I cant afford to keep it.

Hello @LongTimeUser1 and @Devinm5. I offer you my apologies for the late response and I appreciate the feedback.
As Moderators we do not possess an estimated timeframe of when a device is going to be listed as compatible, in case a device is confirm will be supporting all features.
The full list of compatible devices with confirmed compatibility can be found at fitbit.com/devices. If a device isn’t listed it doesn’t mean it won’t work with a Fitbit tracker or smartwatch. We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit App, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. A majority of Android phones running version 4.4 or higher will work with our products, however we cannot guarantee optimal performance on devices for which we have not tested and confirmed compatibility.
If i got more details regarding this phone, I will be visiting this thread to keep you updated.

Hi! Have there been any updates? Google is getting ready to launch the Pixel 3 this Tuesday, and it would be great to see support for the pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, as well as the upcoming Pixel 3 which I may be upgrading to soon. I'm still very interested in the versa, but my past experience with it was a but upsetting. There seemed to be many connectivity issues with the phone, and message notifications rarely worked
