App changes data after sync

My Fitbit Charge 3 and me got along pretty well, but since last week the app has somehow gone mad... First it couldn't sync, but after an update it seemed to work well again. Unfortunately it now changes data. I had over 20.000 steps yesterday, but after sync the watch said 329 steps (calorie and activity data were also gone).

What is going on??

@Doreen76 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Sorry to hear that your data has disappeared after syncing your device. Did you log any activities on your account? Do you have any third party apps linked to your account? How long did your tracker went without syncing with your app? If it was long enough then the tracker may have lost the correct time and date and once you synced them and the time got updated it assigned the steps to a different date. Could you add a screenshot of the activities area on your phone.

I look forward to your reply.

Hi! Thank you for your response!

I've used this watch and the app since October last year. So far no problems. I hadn't synced for 48 hours at the most. After the update it registered all data correctly, but ever since last Thursday it removes or changes data. Today as well: steps registered correctly this time though, but calories dropped to appr. 1200 (should have been about 2400), and activity dropped to 0 (should have been 110 minutes). I haven't used any other devices.

What do you mean by 'activity area'?
