Hello @peter34.

Thanks for bringing this up and sharing all of those details. Let me help you figure out what could be happening.

The first thing I'd recommend is trying to restart your phone and then opening the app again. That should help so that the all is reloaded and that everything works fine, in case something was incorrectly loaded when the app was opened.

Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions.

Already tried that. Unfotunately it doesn't make any difference.

Hello @peter34.

I apologize for the delay in my response. Thanks for letting me know that you tried that.

In that case I'd like to ask some questions to better understand:

  • What phone is that you are using?
  • What Android version are you running?

In the meantime, let's try to uninstall the Fitbit app and then install it once more. That should correct the functionality of the app.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi,

I have uninstalled and re-installed the app. Immediately after
re-installation the app allows me to select the exercise tracker but the
next time that I try it crashes and closes the app.

I am using a Xiaomi MI8 phone which has Android Version 9 installed

Regards

Hello @peter34.

Thanks for getting back to me and sharing those details.

Let's try one more thing. Go into the phone's settings and then look for the app settings. Once there, try the following:

  1. Look for the Fitbit app in those settings.
  2. Once there, tap on the option to move it to the internal phone's memory or to an external drive.
  3. After it has been moved, restart the phone.
  4. Open the app and try to select the tracker again.

Look forward to your reply.

Hi,

I cant find that option on my phone. The app manager settings don’t appear to give me the option to move the app as you suggest.

I apologize for the delay in my response. Let me help you figure out what is going on.

What options are you getting when you get there? Also, has the app continued to crash like you indicated?

Look forward to your reply.

I dont get any option for moving the application.

The app seems to work the first time that it is used after a re-install but
thereafter it crashes when you select the running man symbol to start a
walk/run etc.
