Hi @Kzaka. Welcome to the Community.
Thanks for the information provided, as well for trying some steps prior posting. You did a good job! I've confirmed that your Samsung Galaxy A8 is a compatible device and since the issue persists, I'd recommend to try the following:
- Log out from the Fitbit app.
- On your phone's settings tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
- Go back on screen, tap on force stop and reboot your phone.
- Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account.
- Tap on the share icon > camera one more time.
Let me know how it goes.

Ive reported this issue multiple times for a year. No resolution yet. I think there is a compatibility issue that needs to be looked at. Multiple people witbthe A8 are reporting this problem and doing the usual troubleshoot of clearing cash, force stop amd rebooting phone has never worked from what Ive seen on this forum.

Hi @csherwin. It's great to see you here again and I'm sorry for the delayed response.
Thanks for your continued reports about the Fitbit app, as well for sharing your feedback. I understand where you're coming from about the Fitbit app not working correctly despite the steps tried on your own. Since your post didn't mention, may I know if you've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app before? If not, please give it a try an reboot your phone to monitor its behavior.
I'll be around, keep me posted.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Tried uninstalling, restarting the phone, installing amd restarting the phone (I wirk in IT support and this is always the go to lol) Tried force stop the app. The camera and images permissions are all on. No change. When trying to use the camera in the Community section, first it'll just reverts back to the feed. Second time it will crash the app all together. It started sometime in 2018. There was a time it worked fine on A8, but for over a year this has been an issue.

I would like to add that I have the same problem with the same phone model.
It seems a generalized problem that might require a patch from Fitbit?

reply is still "well it should work".
It just doesn't. And nothing has been done about it. I'm missing the
community aspect of the app which made me feel accountable.
