App keeps spiking steps and lowering

App on Android keeps spiking steps using mobile track.  NO, I do not also have it connected to a fitbit, it is only mobile track.  When I should be at like 5k steps it will jump to 18,000 but then go back down later in the day, today is the second day in a row it has done this?

Hi, @Calebgee! Do you have another fitness tracking app on the phone? You can use that to see if it's the Fitbit app or the hardware that's the problem.

Yes, it is the fitbit app.  And the discrepancy is not a small one.

I understand that it's showing up in the Fitbit app, I was giving you
a way to troubleshoot and see if the problem is the app or your phone hardware.

Sorry yes, I was trying to explain it is in fact the app, with Google Fit on too, steps are where they should be (hardware is fine).  The fitbit app jumps by 13-15000 steps and then a few hours later will go back to where it should be.
