Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So I did cardio in the morning and synced my fitbit. Everything updated apart from the heart rate graph.  I tried several times and everything update apart from the heart rate graph. I did some weights in the afternoon synced and again it synced about 5 minutes of the weights and just showed dotted lines where the heart rate should be.iv restarted the fitbit, logged in and out and checked on my computer dashboard. It' not showing up on there either? Where is it?! Please help Bex

Welcome @BexWine, lovely to have new faces in the Fitbit Community! In this case your tracker was not able to detect your hear rate, reason why you are seeing dotted lines, which of course is not a normal behavior.

Make sure of the following:

  • Tighten the band just enough so it isn't slipping around on your wrist. Your tracker needs a solid contact with your arm to reliably track your heart rate.
  • Move the band to a slightly different position on your arm—a little higher or a little lower.
  • If the setting is Auto but your heart rate still isn't appearing, try changing the setting to On. Note that at this setting, the green lights on the back of your tracker flash even when you aren't wearing it. This does not indicate a problem with your tracker.

if the Issue persists I would recommend to perform a restart on your tracker. I saw in your Community profile you have a Charge HR, in this case these steps will provide you more help: How do I restart my Charge HR?

Keep me posted how it goes. I'll be around!

During my cardio on Tuesday morning and again in the evening when I did weights I kept checking my heart rate and it showed up on my fitbit I don't understand how it's not registered on the app if I saw it working on the device? Thank you for getting back to me X

Hello there @BexWine, thank you for the additional details and please accept my apologies for the late response. How it goes so far? Is the issue still persisting? Have you tried to restart your tracker?

You are right that is an odd behavior that the heart is being displayed in your tracker but is not being updated in the Fitbit app.

Only in case the issue persists, try to set up your tracker again in your Fitbit account. To learn more about this process take a look at this post. However keep in mind this is only if the issue persists.

Let me if you need additional help.

I find that display sometimes doesn't update on my phone, but it can still be seen on the dashboard at fitbit.com (click 'Dashboard' near top right of this page). On the wide tile, click Daily and Heart rate from 2 drop-downs. I find this graph much easier to read with better detail.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I just had this problem this morning. As mentioned in other comments, it would show up properly on my Blaze and on the Fitbit website but the iOS app just displayed a dotted line for the past 12 hours. A Fitbit reset did not solve it, but logging out and back into the Fitbit App did solve the problem.
