At login in to App keeps saying "Fitbit.com is down for Maintenance"

Started with problems regarding the syncing of data for my Alta HR - which had failed to sync starting yesterday.  Advice on forum suggested restarts of tracker (which I did, several times), reinstalling app on phone (which I also did).  After the reinstall of the phone app I've been unable to log in to fitbit through the app without getting the message.  My laptop computer, however, is able to log in without a problem.  Have contacted the support staff who were able to get the sync to work through my laptop, but insisted that they didn't have the problem with any "phones" in their office.  Suggestion was to wait until tomorrow.  Am planning to do so, but wanted to post this in cases others are having a similar problem - or had it and found a solution.  I use the phone app a lot and my laptop log in much less often.

Quick update.  As of this morning (7:00 am) still wasn't working.  But as of noon, I was able to log in!  Yea!  Sync worked too!  Double Yea!
