I am wondering why when I allow my fit bit to auto detect an exercise that I do (1 hour class of zumba) the results are significantly different then if I use the exercise mode and choose workout. My heart rate and calorie burn aren't even the same

@Traceycopeland Hi and Welcome - as I understand it the auto detect has to be over a set time (ie you have to be doing the exercise for 10, 15, 20 mins etc - whatever you have set it to before it recognises the activity and then has to work backwards to get data) ( Please Note SmartTrack doesn't record GPS data, provide real-time stats on your wrist, or include distance and pace information in your exercise history. For those features use multisport (exercise) mode.) the following maybe able to explain it better
What should I know about SmartTrack exercise detection
I personally think manual starting or an exercise is more accurate and gives more data
Hope this helps
Kind Regards
