Hey guys,
I'm putting this here because I'm at a loss for where else to put it. However, it's a feature I try to access from the android app so here goes;
What on earth is going on with barcode scanning and the UK food database? I literally have never successfully found a product by scanning the barcode. I'm not even talking about rare foods from niche stores either. I'm talking about Tesco's bread, Warburton's bread, Tesco's Roasted Chicken, ASDAs milk, NISAs milk, Co-op's margarine.....common products bought from well known stores.
Has anyone had a positive experience of this and is it just me? I don't want to use MFP to track my food but, honestly, it's getting to the point where I don't have much choice.

Sorry to jump in here.. Hope you can help..
I was able to use the food data base well with no problem until I just upgraded last night and now premium.
I went onto settings, data base as you mentioned.. changed it to USA, no joy, back to UK and still no luck..
I don't understand why it worked great and now its not working at all..!?
I have been uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Its pretty frustrating..
If I can't have the data base working then it's not much good to me 😞
Hope you can help me.. Many thanks

Best AnswerHi @Pebs1288,
Let me get this straight. The bar code scanner for the food database which has never worked in the UK, despite being an advertised feature when many of us bought our fitbits, is now working, but only if you have premium?
If this is true, I am disgusted. That means that all those years when we have asked for this feature to function they have wilfully withheld something we had already paid for and now expect us to pay again.
