I am now starting to use the food app on a daily basis but I am struggling with the barcode scanner, as every item I scan the barcode is not recognised. I was just wondering if anyone may know why this is?

Hello there @Chrystal15,. I'm sorry for the delay in responding your post.
Please keep in mind that at this time, barcode scanning is only available for customers using the United States food database. If you use another food database, the barcode scanning option won't work. To check which food database you're using, see How do I change my food database?
I've moved your post to the Android App as there are more chances to get related replies here.

Hi @Chrystal15, there is a feature suggestion for bar code scanning for other nations food databases.
It has been running since 2015 I think.
It is locked to new comments and I think it is marked as not planned. So no one bothers to add any more votes even though they can.
So if you're not in America you get to pay for stuff you can't use. Well, until they decide to add it to premium so we can pay more for it.
