After the rollout of the new Android app. In order to sync, you will need to have "Allow all the time" location permissions to be set. This is because "or else you will encounter syncing issues". Quite what the syncing issues are when they can't watch your every move I can't say.  However, if you toggle location permissions between syncs it still seems to work fine. Methinks this is just another google data grab. Opinions?

"Methinks this is just another google data grab."

I can't imagine what else it could be.

If this was a "free" service, I might understand - after all, I would be the product. Quid pro quo. However, I am a Premium subscriber, so pay for this level of disrespect. Not only that but it adds an additional drain to my mobile batteries. For what?

To add further insult, I am spammed with notifications that fitbit is reading my location. Should I switch this off too? Let's not blame the devs here, this is clearly an edict from some fool in management, that expects users to put up and shut up! Rest assured that if nothing changes soon (I am not holding my breath), I will be getting a new watch for Xmas (I am not holding my breath. I am cancelling my premium subscription in the meantime.

I had the Premium subscription on a free trial for a year, but I can't say I got a bit of use out of it over the free service.
When it expired I let it lapse.
Haven't noticed any difference.
