Bike Rides Not Recording Activity Time

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi

I have an issue with my Fitbit tracker where when I ride bikes with connected GPS for an hour to two hours, it will only record around 10 activity minutes to 15 activity minutes.

My walks and runs record the full activity time and duration.

Anybody know what's going on? Is it because there isn't much arm motion?

Thanks in advance

Adam

I have been having a similar issue for over a week, no matter if I bike or walk. If I put my blaze into exercise mode it gives me a day of exercise, but I receive zero activity minutes. If I leave it out of exercise mode I receive the minutes of activity, but I don't get a day of exercise recorded. I think something has gone out of whack with the Android app as my friends with Apple phones are not experiencing this issue. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Hello @ahefner33! Welcome to the Forums @MelindaC

It is important to keep in mind that Active minutes are only awarded after a period of 15 minutes or more of constant activity. Even if the tracker is tracking GPS information with the exercise mode, if there is a slight decrease on the activity's intensity, the active minuted will not be recorded.

I hope this clarifies the situation. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hello @Mike1973, thanks for stepping into the Community.

The SmartTrack feature can calculate the total activity time once it has recognized that you are performing an activity.

Look forward to your reply.

Hello @Mike1973! It's great to read that your phone is working correctly!

Please keep in mind that at this moment, none of the Kindle devices are on our supported devices list. That would mean that we cannot guarantee that everything will work as intended as the app is not optimized to those devices.

If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.
