Blank screen after logging in with google account

I just installed the mobile app for the first time and tried logging in with my existing google account. All I get is a blank screen. I am using a Galaxy S24 Ultra.

I tried:

  1. Clearing cache
  2. Deleting data
  3. Force restarting the app
  4. Un/Reinstalling the app
  5. Updating the app
  6. Give and take away permissions

I literally spent hours on this at this point with zero progress. Please help.

Tried some more stuff: Apparently my Pixel Watch 4 is syncing correctly after setting it up with fitbit and I can see my tracked fitness data - but only on the smart watch fitbit apps. As soon as I try to make the jump to the mobile app on my phone, all I get is a blank screen.

Even if I open https://www.fitbit.com/dashboard on my desktop pc all I see is a empty white browser page.

Overall this seems pretty broken.

A few years ago the Fitbit.com dashboard was removed. Going to the web dashboard should get a message to use the app

To download you did go to

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fitbit.FitbitMobile

When you open the App you should see a screen to log in. Do you?

Are you connected through a firewall or VPN.

I installed the Fitbit app through the google watch app that I use with my Pixel Watch 4, it's basically an option within that app (-> Open Fitbit). It just navigates you to the google play store page of Fitbit.

Yeah, when opening the app I get to the log in screen and can choose whether I want to log in with my google account or a Fitbit account. I don't have a Fitbit account and don't think you can create one anymore as apparently, after google bought Fitbit users were migrated to use their google accounts. Thus I choose my google account, provided credentials and then all I get is a blank screen afterwards. I am not connected via a firewall or VPN. I tried this from within my wifi network at home as well as on mobile data. Same result.

The same problem with my devices: Google Fitbit Charge 6 with Google Pixel 6a, Android 16, Fitbit App Version 4.66.1.fitbit-mobile from Google Play Store. I received Charge 6 yesterday and tried everything as proposed in several web forums etc., similar to what EsLiGAM tried. Installed and deleted the app several times, as well as the communication between the two devices. The result always was the same: after logging in with my Google account, I got a blank white screen.
