Blaze not syncing or getting notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Not only am I no longer receiving text notifications to my Fitbit Blaze (going in 3 months) now it will not synch to my android phone.  It says "device not found."  I have deleted the app, re-installed, turned off Bluetooth, turned it back on, still not working.  I use to love Fitbit but now I would not recommend it to anyone.  Very aggrivated...once again.

Hi @shirlkimberlin. I'm glad to see a new face around.

Thanks for taking the time to troubleshoot your Blaze, and I'm sorry that the issues are persisting. I'll be helping you with this. There are some factors that may prevent your device from syncing, which also affects the notifications, so please make sure of the following:

  • The Fitbit app is updated in your phone.
  • Your Fitbit device and phone are within 20 feet.
  • To avoid any interference, turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
  • If you use more than one device to sync, make sure the other device isn't nearby.

If those conditions are met, I'd suggest to try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Remove your device from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. On your phone's settings, tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
  3. Go back to the previous screen and tap on force stop.
  4. Reboot your phone and restart your Blaze.
  5. Verify the location services are enabled in your phone.
  6. Open the Fitbit app, tap on the profile's icon > setup a new device.
  7. Choose the Blaze, tap on replace device and follow the onscreen instructions.
  8. Once that is done, set the notifications one more time.

If your Blaze is still not able to sync or receive a notification, please reply back with your phone's model and Android version.

Keep me posted!
