Blaze receiving email notifications and they're turned off

I've had my Blaze for over two years and this is the first time this has happened.  A few days ago, I couldn't get it to sync, so I deleted it and set it up as a new device.  Since then, I'm getting email notifications and they're turned off.  Heck, I even turned off ALL notifications in the app.  Didn't stop it.  I had to turn off all notifications on the Blaze.

I've deleted it and added a new device, had Bluetooth forget the pairing, restarted my phone and everything else I could think of. This is so annoying.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S9.

Any suggestions?

HI @TrueRedhead, good to see you here in the Fitbit Community and my apologies for the late response. I was reading your post and I'm wondering how it goes? Certainly this is an odd behavior, since you already turned off all notifications in your Blaze and added as a new device.

The issue should be resolved by doing this steps, so I'm wondering from which email app are you receiving the email notifications in your Blaze?

I would recommend to try these steps:

  1. Unpair your tracker in your mobile device's Bluetooth settings. If you are unsure how to verify or change settings for your mobile device, refer to instructions provided by your device manufacturer. For most Android mobile devices, tap Settings > Bluetooth, find your tracker in the list of paired devices, and then tap Forget or Forget Device to unpair your tracker.
  2. Reboot your mobile device.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.

Roberto,

It's the stock email app on Samsung.  My default email is hotmail.  I just checked an I've blocked any notifications on the app and in the fitbit app.

I've unpaired the Blaze and rebooted to no avail.

It is very strange behavior!  It only started recently.  The sync problem has gotten worse also.  I just thought of something and checked.  I had a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S9 software update on June 21st.  I'm trying to find info on the update/patch.

I'm giving the Samsung Gear 3 Frontier a try.  My husband has a Blaze too and reminded me that he's had trouble since the beginning.  He only syncs it to the computer, when it actually sycs.  Plus, his battery drains overnight.

Love my fitbit, but it's just too much of a pain to try to get it to work and sync.  Now I'm not getting any notifications.
