I've finally received my new Blaze yesterday. Installed Android app, started Blaze, agreed to upgrade firmware, done. Everything worked fine. But after some time I've noticed the sync does not work. Now it says that last sync was yesterday about the same time when I installed the new firmware (it basically forced me to do so) version 17.8.104.1.
I tried to juggle with WiFi, mobile data, location, bluetooth settings, tried to reinstall app, reboot phone, reboot Blaze, nothing worked. The interesting thing is that remote music control works fine (= I can control music player on my phone) so I guess the bluetooth connection works and it may be something related to Bluetooth Low Energy since music control works over Bluetooth Classic, from what I understood.
I am using Android 5.0 on phone with full Bluetooth 4.0 (including LE extension) support.
There is plenty of similar posts but none of them has led to resolution of my situation, so this must be more common issue.
I wonder if there is a way how to downgrade the firmware to the original version so that I can verify that the last (= first) sync worked with the original firmware before upgrade.
If this is not going to be fixed until the end of this week, I am going to return it and find another device that works as expected.

Update: tried even with Windows 10 app, was able to pair Blaze as BT device, but was not able to sync -- it offered me to sync, but then told me that I need dongle what I believe is just FitBit rebranded BLE USB stick.

Put the Blaze into its charger, plug it into you win10 computer, then wait for Windows to detect and download the drivers. Now Opie the Fitbit app, and you should be able to sync through the cable.
Are you receiving any errors on the phone app, or red exclamation points, to click on.
I don't see any mention of deleting the Fitbit app and installing a fresh copy.
When restarting the Blaze dos you try the two finger method and also turning it off through the settings screen on the Blaze.
Did you try turning the phone off, and not just a restart, sometimes I find my phone around zones to anything, especially the printer, without a restart.

OK, so I've spent a day by preparing Win10 environment (in VMware in Linux) and after many attempts, it has synchronized via cable finally. I am not going to do this kind of nuisance (start VMware, enable USB passthrough, then fight with the FitBit app for half an hour) every time I want to sync. This is not what I paid for. Even upgrading to yet another version of firmware did not help.
To the other questions:
- yes, the app is showing exclamation mark that it is not possible to sync (with no more details)
- yes, tried two finger method, nothing has changed, as well as after juggling with Settings screen
- yes, tried to restart, BT, WiFi, GPS, and then even the whole phone, nothing has changed -- still possible to control music but synchronization does not work
Apparently, I should have bought some Android wearable instead to get something as essential as the painless and working synchronization... this is sad experience after all the unpacking excitement 😞
If there is a way how I can help fixing this issue, please let me know, otherwise I would find another product which actually works as expected.
Thanks for your approach to help with this, I think this is something FitBit has to work on internally...

If your using Linux use Galileo, you can find it in github, and many of the distributions like Mint and Ubuntu have it in their repositories.
I have a script set to ruin every 3 hours from 6 am to 9pm. This will require a Fitbit USB dongle but works flawlessly.
VMware can't handle the BT drivers.
Any Fitbit Dongle will work, if you need one contact Fitbit.

OK, thanks for hints! Having purchased the dongle, I still believe they will fix it soon.
BTW, tried with my girlfriend's laptop with Win10 and it didn't work with BT either. Only with cable.
