Bluetooth Classic Pairing Issues Blaze v. Android

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have all of the sudden lost the ability to control music with my blaze on my Droid turbo 2. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, deleted and reloaded the tracker. I get the four digit PIN to set up classic and go through all the motions that I have seen suggested but I continue to get the error message that there is a pin or passkey issue and it will not pair. What can be done?

Hi there @Tagney, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community. Lets give it a try to the set up steps one more time from scratch to address this issue you are experiencing with Music Control:

  1. On your Fitbit Blaze:
    1. Swipe to Settings.
    2. Scroll to Bluetooth Classic.
    3. Tap the Bluetooth Classic option until the setting is Pair.
  2. On your mobile device:
    1. Navigate to the Bluetooth Setting screen where paired devices are listed. Your mobile device should be scanning for devices.
    2. When “Blaze Classic” is shown as an available device, select it.
    3. Wait for a message displaying a six-digit number.
  3. Perform the following two steps in close succession:
    1. When the same six-digit number appears on your Blaze, tap “Yes” on your tracker.
    2. On your mobile device, select Pair.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes. I'll be around!

I also have this issue. Very frustrating! I can connect the blaze Bluetooth fine. I was able to connect the classic once, then the next day my Fitbit music screen would flip between connecting.. and loading music but it would never load. I deleted the connection and now it won't pair to the classic at all. I have restarted both devices, tried putting the phone in safe mode, nothing. I can connect the classic to my tablet just fine and it all works, but not my phone. I also have a droid turbo.

Hey Sammy, I got rid of my droid, and got the Samsung galaxy 8+, even more issues.  Fit bit doesn't seem concerned aboit either issue. My new Garmin connects nicely.

Hi there @Tagney and  welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community @SammyGirll88.

@SammyGirll88  f you were able to control music before but now you are seeing "Not connected" or "Connecting..." on your Blaze screen, please give it a try to these suggestions:

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth and select Blaze (Classic) and select Forget device
  • Make sure Blaze is within approximately 20 feet of your phone.
  • Under Settings on Blaze, confirm that Bluetooth Classic is set to "Pair."
  • Try switching Bluetooth Classic from "Pair" to something else and then back to "Pair."
  • Restart your phone.

Hope this helps. For more questions please stay tuned to the Fitbit Community!

I added my fit bit blaze as a trusted device to keep phone unlocked when near then it allowed  me to do it   along with the other advised steps .  Hope that works,   know how frustrating it is
