@Guy_ Thanks for your input and advice.

@cindyw9 Thanks for your reply and explanation. It does not matter if it is not a watch. Please note that you cannot pair the Fitbit Flex with your phone manually over the Bluetooth settings. You just have to confirm the pairing when that message is shown on the app, and the connection will be done automatically. Try again, open the Fitbit app and confirm to link the Flex to your smartphone.

@cindyw9 Nice to see you here in the forums again. Thanks for reaching out about your Fitbit Flex wanting to link with your smartphone. This usually happens when the notifications are set up. My app has also asked me to pair the devices to have a better syncing experience. What does the message on the app exactly say? I would say go for it and confirm the link between your smartphone and your Fitbit Flex, when prompted.

I have deleted the app from my phone
reinstalled it
shut blue tooth off
opened the app
the app told me to activate blue tooth - which I did
Then went back to the app and it again told me to link my fitbit to my flex
So I went back to the blue tooth and scan.  It found the flex but it still didnt link.
Im in a loop repeating all of these steps and it still wont sync.

Hi @cindyw9 - whenever you login the Fitbit App can show you pair, link or Fixit prompts to make sure the watch is fully and properly connected, just accept them.

If this is not working logout again and swipe off the active window and in Android clear the storage cache and force stop it and then restart the phone.

It is a good idea to also restart the flex to get the connection working again.

It is not a watch.  It is one of the original flex.  Im beginning to suspect that it no longer compatible anything that fit bit has.  Kind of disappointing as it did server me well for many years.

Ok this is what I have done:

Opened the fitbit app
Message says "To sync reliably, let Fitbit link to flex"
Clicked on ok
It brings me to Bluetooth Pairing and linking.
Clicked on ok

That brings me back to the mainpage on the app where it says to "To sync reliably, let Fitbit link to flex"
So from there I went and shut off bluetooth and reopened it and it shows me what is paired and available devices.
Flex is in the devices area.  So then I click done
Go back to the main fitbit screen and attempt to sync again.
Nope same message: "To sync reliably, let Fitbit link to flex"
It seems like it sees it, but wont link.

I dont know what else to do.

@cindyw9 Thanks for the explanation and how everything is shown to you. Please make sure that your Fitbit app is up to date. In this case, the link between devices should be done automatically by the app after you confirm. Usually a second window pops up. What Android device do you have? I will try today with my other Fitbit device. I will set it up and give you my perspective.

I had deleted the app off my phone and reinstalled it from google game store.   I would assume that would be the latest update.  I have a samsung galaxy S21
