Caller ID showing previous caller's name

When I receive a phone call it used to display who was calling, now it displays the same contact all the time. So if My husband is calling me it says my mum's calling me on the fitbit. It's happened 3 times now. And not just with my husband calling. But always says mum's calling.

Nope. Fitbit has forgotten about us, about this issue.

So we do what we can... right now the only working, temporary (hopefully...) solution is to revert to version 2.90 and disable the automatic updates for it.

Downgrade app to 2.90, and block update at play store.  This is the only fix that works.

How do we download previous versionMichele

Google "fitbit 2.90 mirror", download to phone and install. You should uninstall the current version first. Be sure to go to Playstore and turn off auto update for the fitbit app (search for fitbit then click 3dots in upper right corner and uncheck "enable auto update".

Once you install the older version you will have to re-pair your tracker. Your old data should be there once you sync.

I have asked Fitbit to make this old version available thru their website but they just ignore me.

You HAVE to stop the auto update from Playstore, othetwise it will just
update to the new version!

I did. And so did my boss

Those instructions she posted are the same thing I did. Worked for me. But she's right about the auto updates needing to be turned off in the app store. (Play store)

Google pixel phone won't allow you to download that version There's an
irony about that seeing as Google is supposed to be taking over Fitbit

I don't know anything about the Google pixel but is there an option to
"allow install from unknown sources" in the settings?

There's this video labeled on YouTube
How to enable unknown sources in Google pixel XL 2
. It shows allowing the chrome app to allow unknown sources. Maybe that'll
do it

Is there any resolution to this problem?  I see fitbit said they were working on it back in September.

I have a Samsung 8+ and Fitbit Alta and am experiencing the same problem with incorrect callerID for incoming calls. Is there a fix/has this been resolved yet? It's pretty annoying....

Only fix we've found is to go back to 2.90
