Calorie intake for the day at wake up

I've recently started using the food plan on the app with a friend. We are about the same weight (within 5 lbs of each other), about the same steps and activity level, and burning/consuming about the same calories. When I log in in the morning, if got about 1900 c in my budget to start the day (which semis really high), but my friend has about 1000 c less in their budget to start. Why would this be? I am about 4 years older, would that make that big of a difference? Thanks!

Hi @Jgfitness

Feel free to check out the Fitbit Article:

Aside, did your friend choose a larger deficit plan when setting up a food plan?

It's also possible having set the setting on the food plan (fitbit.com website) to sedentary or personalized as that makes a difference to. Cat Embarassed

There's a setting on the food log page (computer / fitbit.com / account) which can be changed to increase the accuracy.

Change setting on Food Log Page

On the Food Log page, standard a setting is used to base the calories allowed on personal history, when being more or less active the calories can increase or decrease alot.

Change to sedentary when desired to increase the accuracy, when being more active, the calories to eat will increase.
