Hello everyone,

I am a newbie and this IONIC is my first fitbit. I have used some other cheaper activity tracker and in 60 mins of Yoga class, I could get like 3xx cal. while this fitbit indicated less than 200 cal.

Please advice if I have done anything incorrect and how to make it more accurate. I think I wear the band fit enough no lose though.

thank you in advanced for your kind advice and suggestion.

It took me a little experimentation about where to where the band on my arm, and how tightly, before I got good consistent results. Hope it works for you also.

Hi @iamPooh,

What did Fitbit report as your average heart rate during the yoga?

You might want to try these tips to improve heart rate accuracy. They helped me a lot.

Hi @WavyDavey

Thank ou so much for your kind response. I started using the IONIC for 2 days in my Yoga class, the first day it was 65 mins class burned 194 cal and avg HR 108

The second day was 60 mins class, burned 106 cal and avg HR 100.

I thought it's very low as my previous (cheap) tracker was like 250-320 call for 60 mins class, and if it is ashtanga it will go up to 410 sometime.

Thanks again for the tips suggestion, I will go through it and try again. I am new to fitbit and this is my 1st fitbit.

I read the tips last night. It said to wear the band around 2-3 fingers above the armbone. I did try it but it's quite lose though. I will try again during my class today.

Thanks so much.

Hi @WavyDavey, The tips you suggested works like a charm! I did lose the band a little more (2 fingers width) above the arm bone, The calories burned get much better. It went up to 283 cal and HR 120.

Much thanks for your kind advice. I'm truly appreciated!
