I have been using Fitbit Blaze for over two years earlier I had an iPhone 6s and a year ago I moved from IOS to Android. I have moved around the house and the number of steps shows 293 but the calories shows 927 how is it even possible.

The 927 calories take into account your 293 steps but they also include the total BMR calories burned since midnight. These are the calories you burn just keeping your body alive (even when asleep).

Thanks for your response. I didn't wear the device overnight as well it was
kept for charging and I forgot to wear it at night. I wore it today morning
3 hours back how can th calories be showing so much.

You don't need to be wearing your fitbit for the BMR calories to show as they are calculated from your profile settings for age, height, weight etc. It's quite normal to get several hundred calories burned between midnight and the time you get up in the morning.

Then where is the question of accuracy? How do I keep myself motivated with
such incorrect reading on the fitbit Blaze? I am serious about losing my
weight and inches but spending ₹17500 for a device and it's definitely not
helping. Are you saying that there is no defect in the device and it's
perfect that it shows 927 calories although I didn't wear it overnight?

Yes, I think it's working just fine.

When you are trying to manage your weight you need to take into account your BMR calories as well as your activity calories when working out how much you can eat and still meet your target.

Have you considered setting up a food plan to help with this? There's information on how this works here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1375/

There's also a bit more information from fitbit on how these BMR calories work: http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1381

The food database doesn't contain the things that we eat in India so I have
a challenge in updating what I eat. Also as far as the device working
condition is concerned I have read a few posts where it was written that
switching from IOS to Android could have performance issues. Also the
battery lasts only for 12-14 hours max.

The food database for the UK is not that great either. What I use is MyFitnessPal and have linked the 2 accounts such that the food data syncs across from MyFitnessPal to fitbit. You might want to see if MyFitnessPal's database is better for Indian foods.
