I have changed the greeting for my Fitbit Alta HR on the app and it has synced, but the greeting on the Fitbit won't change. I exit out of the app and start it back up again, and the greeting on the app it set to what I want it to be, but has still not changed on the Fitbit. How do I fix this?

@katherine4 Hi and Welcome, when you changed the greeting on the app after you saved it did you sync your tracker immediately?
alternatively you could try the same via the website but remember to force sync again after the change
I know its not a lot and you may have already done this but it may help

You have a point there @ashwolve I have found that if there is a sync problem, or if I don't immediately sync I find that any changes to the settings I make do not stick, and a delayed sync will not update the settings.

@katherine4 Hi, no problem and sorry that didn't work for you - you could try turning off greeting from the settings page then delete the greeting altogether then sync - restart your Fitbit and then try setting it up again - remember where possible to force sync after any changes
you may need restart 2 or 3 times in a row - but try it once first just in case
you may also want to contact support if this does not work as they maybe able to offer you more direct assistance
the phone number will appear once the office is open (usually 0800 - 1900 Mon-Fri and 1000 - 1700 weekends in the UK)
This is for the UK but should you need to change country scroll to the bottom and look for United Kingdom with a down arrow next to it and click on the arrow now you can select your relevant country and the page will refresh

Thank you for the suggestion! For some reason, there is no greeting option online but there is one on the app. I have tried changing the greeting on the app and restarting the fitbit but it still has not worked. I can't get in touch with fitbit customer service so I'm not really sure what to do at this point. Below is a picture of the device settings page where the greeting option seems to be missing.

@katherine4 Hi on the picture that you provided please try the following the 3rd option on the list is Tap Display click on here - scroll down slightly and you should see 2 more options - 1, Chatter with a slide on/off and the 2nd is greeting - slide on/off and a pencil to edit give that a go as you know the greeting is only 8 characters in length so anything longer will probably not work or save
may need to remove the greeting save/sync and see if it clears in total then put your new greeting in
