I went for a run but forgot to start the exercise on my fitbit inspire hr. My active minutes, calories and miles were tracked but is there a way to classify my activity as a run? I've looked online and all the tips show how to add an activity but if I do that it reflects as an extra activity which exaggerates my stats. Is there a way to classify my existing activity?

First, I would have expected it would have been auto-recognized as a run. If you haven't, check your exercise log to see if it is already there.
If it is not there, if you add the activity like this, How do I manually log exercises in the Fitbit app? , it will not necessarily exaggerate your stats. But what it will do is overwrite whatever data was actually recorded during that time with the parameters you input for the run.
