Can't Complete Fitbit Set Up Process

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After the latest update, sync has stopped. I've reset my Note 8 phone and Versa, unpaired, paired Versa, turn Bluetooth on and off, deleted my Versa device from my mobile Fitbit app and tried adding back, but beyond the initial part where I can enter the pin from my Versa to my phone to continue set up, it always fail after that and I cannot link my Versa to my Note 8.

Any idea how to solve?

Hi there,  my phone stopped syncing with my fitbit charge 3.

So I restarted the fitbit numerous times, removed the fitbit app and re added it, unsynced the charge from my phone, and now I cannot re sync the fitbit.

I get as far as finding my tracker, entering the code the fitbit provides and then nothing..  it goes looking and fails to connect.

The phone I have is a galaxy s7, Android version 8, and charge 3 fitbit

Welcome to the Forums @Bibibabubi and @Claire.m26.

Thanks for taking the time to share all of the steps that you have tried to get Versa to pair. Let me help you figure out what is going on.

@Bibibabubi, This might be happening because the Note 8 is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.

As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps with the set up@Claire.m26 Please do also try the steps I mentioned as they should do the trick in getting your Charge 3 to pair.

If none of the above works, you could try to use a computer or another mobile device to try and sync your Fitbit to your account. Click here to get instructions on how to set up with other devices.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi there,

After a lot of messing around I fixed it!!

Just went to the settings, About and hot clear user data.

The software saw the fitbit as a brand new one and connected
