GPS tracking produces only partial tracks since early Nov 2018

I have a Charge 2 and often use it in conjunction with an Android mobile to track walks and cycle rides.

It used to work (75% of the time) and afterwards on my Dashboard I could see my route superimposed on on a Google maps. Sometimes there would be a straight line from one part of my route to another where the GPS signal was lost, but it still looked like the route.

But in since early November it hasn't managed to track one single route properly - it just records a section, usually the first 40-60% of the route, sometimes the last 30-40%, or maybe a bit in the middle. This will happen even if I check my device to see that the mobile connected icon is on and have seen that it definitely did have a signal during the part of the route that is missing.

Strange detail: on one occasion I tracked by journey by bike to a local shop and turned off the tracking when I arrived. Then spent 15 minutes in the shop before turning on the tracking to bike home via a different route. When I looked at the results I found the track for the journey out only showed the first half of that route (as usual). But the track for the journey back showed the second half of the journey out (and none of the journey back).

This makes me think the problem may due to the software running on your servers mangling the data it gets sent during the sync.

This is really annoying. I upgraded to a Charge 2 last summer and I wish I had moved to a different brand as your software just gets worse and worse.
