Can't Sign In With Google

I moved my account a few days ago.

Today, I can't log in to the app (But I can to the dashboard on the web).

I click on sign in with Google. My Google ID shows up, then I get:

Something went wrong - Please Try again.

I have tried it for hours.

I did all the recommendations in other threads (Restart phone, clear cache, reinstall app, vpn, etc.) to no avail.

Version 3.83.1.1.fitbit-mobile-38346051

Android Version 13

Latest updates for both.

I read about a version 3.84 being available, but it is not on the play store.

Thanks

I have a strange update to this. I was able to log into the Fitbit app if I turned off WiFi on my phone and used my cellular data. After logging in I was able to synch but the instance I enabled WiFi on my phone synch no longer works.

I’ve tested this several times over the past hour and the situation is consistent ….. app works with WiFi off. If you have Wifi on you can’t synch and you won’t be able to log in (if you are logged off).

I am having a similar issue. I just got my Inspire 3 this week and did all the hoops and what not to set it up. It is not connecting to my phone so I'm not receiving text messages to my watch. I chatted with customer service who advised me to log out of my app and log back in. There is no option to log in with your gmail account and when you go to forgot password, it says you can't do this with a google account. I asked the tech wtf, what do I do. He was like oh yea, a lot of people are having this issue. Someone will send you an email....Okay. So, now I can't log in on the app. Like...not cool. Not happy rn.

I am having the same issue. I just switched to a Google account. Now I can not log in on my iphone. The app has no Google account sign in. Just username and password. I used my username and password but it is not accepted not that I switched to google. I tried to change my password but when you get a link to the website and try it says password changes are not allowed on google account. Fitbit are literally the worst.

Note: This started earlier today. First, everything went blank (No data). I logged out to see if it would fix it, and have not been able to log back in since.

Having same problem.  And tried all the troubleshooting steps including uninstalling and reinstalling. My wife who has not coverted to Google log-in has no problems at all.

I restarted my phone and Fitbit and now the Fitbit device doesn't appear on the app. I get a "Fitbit.com is down for maintenance" notice when I try to reinstall it.

I've been getting exactly the same thing since about 5PM Eastern today. I can log into my account via a browser but the Fitbit App doesn't work. Getting Something went wrong, try again message. I transferred my Fitbit account to Google a few days ago.

Same.  I think it's system wide but idk...

Just talked to Fitbit, they told me to give it 24 hours 😡

I've been trying to log in with my Google account. The same acount I've been using since I got my fitbit. It keeps telling me something went wrong and to try again. I keep trying again. Nothing. I clear the cache, Uninstal the app, restart my phone... it's still giving me the same error

I am not able to sign into Fibit app either using my fitbit account or my Google account. Have tried restarting both my watch and my android phone, clearing cache, force stop app, un-installing and re-installing the app.

Nothing seems to work. My fitbit watch is Sense and Android phone is Samung Fold 4

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Same here. Yet. Twitter support. They have no other issues. I laugh at this. As I told them. Seems once I synced to Google. Not working. Atm I have blank front page

Working this morning without me doing anything.  It must have been a systems-wide issue.

Thanks

Same issue as all of you and I had a twitter debate with Fitbit support over it yesterday evening.  Definitely think it's related to the Google Account linkage since I just did that within the last week.  Website was fine.   Support ended up escalating after much prodding via DM and they confirmed there should be an update rolling out to fix this issue hopefully soon.

This morning the app half-loaded and then did nothing.  Tried the trick again with using just cellular data and this time it fully loaded but WIFI still does nothing.  Very strange.

My app kept freezing, so I logged out, and reinstalled the app. Now it keeps telling me "something has gone wrong" when I try to login with my Google account. What gives?

I was surprised to see that everything was working fine this morning, syncing was working with WiFi, and appeared to be normal again. I used the RELAX app to check my stress level as I do daily and as soon as I went to sync that data the issue we've been facing started again. I turned off WiFi and tried syncing and everything is OK.

Don't know if this was coincidence but I'm back to where I was yesterday.I'm fairly certain the issue is system wide and is tied to either the Google account transfer not being complete at server end, perhaps with specific app components like the STRESS module, etc as they seem to be the first ones to blank out when the sync issue starts. In any case this is par for the course with Fitbit which has gone completely downhill since Google acquired them. Very sad and frustrating to say the least.
