I received a friend request for a FB friend with a private Fitbit acct, but it won't recognize when I hit "accept"?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @HelloKatieFace. It's great to have you here. I would recommend doing the following:

- Log out from the app

- Reboot your phone

- Log back in

If the above doesn't work, try to accept the friend request from the online Dashboard. Let me know how it goes.

Catch you later. Smiley Very Happy

I would just accept it via their website dashboard, I doubt they're going
to fix this anytime soon.

Just fixed this problem (& not being able to scroll) by pausing my Twilight app.

Thanks for stepping into the Community @Franji@Mforsythe01 and @enginerd364!

@Franji Thanks for the update on how you were able to resolve the issue.

@enginerd364 and @Mforsythe01, I'd like to ask you some questions to get a better understanding. What is exactly happening when you try to accept the requests? Do you get any error message? Are you able to access your friends list?

Look forward to your reply!

Nothing happens, the UI simply does not respond to the input. I can tap it
a hundred times and it will never respond positively or negatively.

Hello @enginerd364

Going by what @Franji mentioned, perhaps some other app is interfering with the Fitbit app. I would recommend that we try to close all other apps and try to only use the Fitbit app and see how that works.

Please do let me know what happens.

I have just done the suggested and have now lost my stats, all of my friends and progress off my app. It is also now recording my old flex instead of my charge 2. The email showing on the online profile is also not the one I use. Where do I go from here?

Welcome to the Forums @Lpayne!

What specific steps did you try? There have been several steps mentioned in this thread. Knowing that will let me determine what is the best way to move forward.

Hope to help you get this situation straightened out.

I am having the same problem. I do not have the twilight app installed. I click accept and it does nothing-it flashes briefly to indicate that there was an input recognized, but then does nothing with the input. The ignore button does still work unfortunately, so when I first encountered the problem I tapped repeatedly and accidentally hit ignore once very slightly, which immediately took effect.

I am also not able to click the request to request friends a good majority of the time. Logging out of the app, clearing app cache data, and even resetting/uninstalling have done nothing for me.

This happens with all friend requests, not just those from private accounts.

Hello @AshleyL.! Welcome to the Forums.

That definitely sounds very bothersome. Thanks for trying all of what you did, though.

It could be because of the phone that you are using. Could you check if it is listed in the compatible devices list? If it isn't in there, it would explain why it's not working correctly as incompatible devices can experience issues like this one.

In the meantime, you can log into the web version of the Dashboard through a browser and manage your friend requests from there.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

I have a friend request that wont let me accept it. When i click "accept" a message pops up saying "invitation from this sender not found" if I click "ignore", it deletes the request but then pops back up 2 seconds later.

I've deleted the app, rebooted my phone. logged out and back in.
I've logged onto my account using a computer and the same thing happens.
If i search my friends account out, I can see her but I cannot click the "add friend" button.

Please help this is super frustrating.

Welcome to the Forums @mhbielby.

Thanks for going through all of those steps before posting in here. Let's try to get this sorted out.

It is possible that if you have a very large number of friends, new requests aren't going through properly. Maybe you could try removing some friends and then trying to accept or ignore the request again and see if that helps.

Additionally, make sure that you log out of every single place where you might have logged into your account. Maybe there is some computer or phone that you logged into and it remained logged in which is causing this to happen.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
