I can't add a 4th digit in distance for swimming. Help

I'm having the same problem, so I've created another topic about it. I usually swim 1000-1500m, this is a huge thing for me. Additionally, cannot post my swims to social media anymore, since swimming 150m instead of 1500m in 33mins isn't something to be proud of now, is it?

This should be an easy fix, I'm a programmer so I know. It's either the entry field or the database field that is misconfigured. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Such a shame. I considered buying a new Fitbit to track my swimming laps, now I'm not so sure anymore...

I wonder if fitbit read the comments on here or if we should all be emailing as well.

I cannot log swim distance either in meters or yards. For example, 2200 yards cannot be entered because it only allows you to put 3 digits so you can only swim 220 yards.  So basically it's not working since the update. Very frustrating. I have not been able to .enter the data in weeks. Please fix it.

Hi,
I had also informed them. They have replied to me saying that they are aware
of the issue and are working on it.
It will help if you and others also write to themas they will then know it
as a general issue and may address it more seriously.

Best regards

According to the following thread, fitbit are now aware of this issue and are investigating:

I emailed again, and this time got an email saying they were working on it and it sounded more positive response than the first one.

I have been looking at the phlex edge which looks to have a lot of potential for swim training, although not available yet.

Same problem here since the last update, very hampering as I'm usually swimming 2000 to 5000m.

Fit bit support have advised me to update through the web instead. This works but it is annoying

I have been having to log my swims as (2) since the update.  1 for 800m and then another for 800m.  Hopefully it will be fixed soon.  Silly issue to have.

Hey folks

When trying to log my swimming distance on my Charge HR it will only allow me to put a maximum of 3 digits so I can't log a distance greater than 999m - I used to be able to log 4-digit numbers.  Anyone know what the problem is?

This seems to be a known bug that fitbit are aware of and are investigating. Keep an eye on the following thread where they seem to be making updates on progress:

I have just found I have the same issue. It's worked fine in the past. Maybe it's a bug in the latest software update?

I had already restarted my phone. But hadn't logged out of the app.  Not sure if it'll make a difference. Besides how does one log out of the Android Fitbit app?

the QA at FBit seems to be completely absent.

have you noticed you can't enter seconds for a swim either? only hours and minutes.

3 different apps - phone, web, tablet all have different input methods and graduations of measurements. And not just for swims, pretty much everything. Developers for the different areas don't talk t each other and seems to be no oversight of 'look & feel'

I use the web application to log swims as the others seem to have different and various deficiencies.

I've only ever used the phone (Android) app, and while I'm okay with not
entering seconds, I get that it might be important for some, and anyway,
why not? But this bit where it now cuts off at 3 digits should not be a
tough fix, especially since it used to work. Now, I add the workout in
halves or thirds, depending on how long my workout was: If I swam 2000
yds, I add it as 2x 999 yards. Pain in the **ahem**.
Let's see how long Fitibit takes to respond to and fix it.
