I was having issues syncing my Inspire HR - I read a lot of the posts, nothing helped.
I uninstalled the app on my Android, went to reinstall and I can't find it.
Is it possible my phone is too old?
Moderator edit: Subject for clarity.
Hi @pstreeper Android 8 is the minimum operating system to get the app. What phone do you have? I have a Samsung Galaxy 8 running Android 9 and in a few years, I'll have to get a new phone. Could be time for you to get a new phone, too.
@pstreeper any chance Samsung will update your phone? Maybe Verizon could tell you.

@Odyssey13 Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
@pstreeper Welcome to the forums. Thanks for reaching out regarding the Fitbit app. As @Odyssey13 mentioned there are minimum requirements for the devices to be used with the Fitbit app. At the moment Android 8.0 is the minimum OS version needed. Hence the app not showing on your Play Store.
Which Fitbit device are you trying to get synced or set up with your account? The dongle is an accessory used for syncing which needs a software called "Fitbit Connect". It's the "older" app for computers. Here you find more information for setup:
Have a nice day!
Hi @pstreeper no, you can't do it on the windows app. Some things need to be done on our phones and I know at this point, you can't. You syncing ok with the dongle?
The newer devices need to be set up with our smartphones. Did you find a friend who had a phone to let you set up and use it?
