Hi there, @Allice. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot this issue before reaching out.

I recommend checking if you have turned on "Set automatically" for date and time on your phone: open your Android settings > tap General > tap Date & Time > and then toggle "Set Automatically" on. You can find additional tips for Android phones at What should I know about using the Fitbit app on my Android phone?

Have you tried to use another device to log in or a different WiFi? If the issue persists, try to force stop the Fitbit app on your phone: Settings > Applications > find the app > select it > select Force stop.

You can confirm the steps to reset your password at How do I reset my Fitbit password?

If the issue persists, I suggest reaching out to our Support Team either by chat or phone. Click here to get connected.

I've moved your post to the Android App board for organization purposes.

My friend has this same issue. She called Fitbit for help. She was told that there was an update. And since she has a 7.1 Android phone for her Charge 3 Fitbit, this is the problem. She asked them what she can do to fix it & was told to go buy a new device!! This is ridiculous & rude!! How can Fitbit expect a huge amount of their loyal customers to be able to just run out & buy new(expensive!) phones, tablets or computers?!! Plus it was just extremely unhelpful & uncaring. Shame on you Fitbit!

I cannot log in to app on android. Today morning I was logged out for some reason and when I try to log in it shows me all the time that my username or password are incorrect, although I used the sama data to log in on the page. When I try to resent password by using link, it shows me that my IP address was banned. I don't know how to fix it 😞

Hi! I have the same issue.

I tried reinstalling the app, turning off bluetooth, everything mentioned above in the right order and nothing helps, i still get 'fitbit.com is unavailable' message trying to log in. Any other tips? Website works fone and logging in into website works fine. I use Android 12.

Same here. Yesterday, I couldn't sync until I reached out to support. The suggestion from support to Unpaired device, turn off Bluetooth, Uninstall and reinstall app, restart fitbit device, and turn Bluetooth back on worked. I had issues syncing today and decided to try the same steps from yesterday and haven't been able to login to my account via the app. I can login using a browser but not the app. It's very frustrating having to deal with these reoccurring issues for a device that I haven't gotten my money worth of use.

Anyone have problems with set up?

Best Answer

Yes. I've been getting the "unavailable. Try again later" message.  I have tried all the troubleshooting that were suggested (clear cache, clear data, force stop then restart phone, and Uninstall then reinstall) and nothing worked. I've tried both of those troubleshooting suggestions on wifi and normal cell service and I'm still getting the same message. It has been like this for hours.

same issue here. Unable to access fitbit either from my Android app or Windows 10. In the case of Android, it says " fitbit.com is unavailable. try later" . For Widnows, the message reads: " Not connected to Internet" (this was AFTER I just finished downloading it from the Microsoft app store ).

Mi WiFi works fine and I have already speed tested it.

I have tried all the usual debugging steps: Check Wifi, turn  bluetooth on and off, automatically set date and time but nothing has worked.

I even tried logging out of fitbit from an older phone on which it was already running . But now when I try to log back in, it's giving me the same information as above!

Same here. The app feels like it's been going downhill the past few weeks - a lot of the food logs are out / not updating and it just seems to have a lot of bugs recently. Troubleshooting isn't helping either, hopefully they're putting a fix in place now.

I too am unable to log into the Fitbit android app. I keep getting the "Fitbit.com is unavailable. Please try again later." I have tried all the usual troubleshooting tricks, but nothing has worked. This is ridiculous!!! Ugh!

Same here, just about tried everything!!

Even the Fitbit Windows10 app says "No Network connection, try again later"....

Sounds like Fitbit has an issue with their login servers?

Yeh I can't access the app either. Tried everything like above to get it working but still can't access it

Same here - was fine yesterday - wouldn't sync my steps today - despite the fact I have done nearly 14k today -  so I went through all the troubleshooting -  uninstalled, turned off, turned on, reinstalled, logged in - fitbit.com is unavailable.  Cleared the data, cache, force stop - restarted the phone.   Same message - nothing.

Got logged out of my Fitbit app yesterday but had no trouble logging back in.

Got logged out today but now get the 'Fitbit is unavailable ' message.

I've cleared the cache, turned Bluetooth on & off, restarted my phone, forced stop, uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

I can log into the website but not the app.
